Banner Types
#1 Canvas BannersÂ
Mainly used for art and promotional projects, canvas fabric is a superb option for various indoor events such as art exhibitions or trade shows. Provides high-resolution font and images on the canvas banner, some have a semi-gloss finish and others use a cotton material. If properly stored the canvas can be used numerous times without any impact on the quality.
It can be easily folded up for storage and is great to transport as does not need much space. It is slightly lower cost than other print media which makes it ideal for limited budgets.
#2 Polyester Fabric
Polyester is a popular choice due to its being durable and lightweight. Unlike Canvas media, polyester material provides enhanced sharper finishes. With a washable element, the polyester banner can be rolled up and stored for further use. It’s important to know that are not tearproof and artwork will fade over time.
#3 PVC Banners
If you require an outdoor banner then PVC (also known as vinyl) would be ideal. Vinyl provides a tough surface that is tear-resistant and water-resistant. Typically they are semi-gloss but there are other options available.
#4 Scrim Banners
These are an excellent choice for outdoor projects. They are strong to enable them to withstand various weather conditions. If a long-term promotion, this would be of benefit as has a prolonged shelf life.
#5 PVC-Free
Vinyl is an alternative to PVC which provides the same results but is more environmentally friendly. It has a stunning strength and can be used for long-term marketing projects.
#6 Vinyl Mesh
The mesh allows sunlight and wind to travel through resulting in an incredibly durable banner. Usually used for advertising on a larger scale for various locations such as sports stadiums.
They can easily be tied to fences and the benefit of them is that they don’t completely block out the view enabling people to see the banner and beyond.
#7 Adhesive Vinyl Banners
A lightweight option and an excellent choice for signage to be placed on walls and windows. The Adhesive media can be used on anything that is an adhesive-friendly surface.
Normally smaller in size, the adhesive media is a benefit for displaying all sorts of information, from directions to important details.
#8 Roller Banners
Known as roll-up or pull-up banners, this is a wide strip of banner fabric with content displayed on the surface. They are easy to assemble and carry around, especially for conferences and trade events.
The benefit is that they are reusable and can be provided with a double-sided print. There are all sorts of materials that can be used, including, Vinyl, non-woven fabric and polyester.Â
